Just as a reminder, the Sunday (March 6th) the Science Channel will be airing the entire series of FIREFLY. It’ll be in HD, and it’ll be aired in the order it was originally intended. FIREFLY is...
It seems like I’m constantly apologizing for not updating my blog enough, and that has to be as annoying as me not posting at all. To be honest, I think my frequent (read that: nearly hourly) posting to...
Growing up, speaking clearly and properly was drilled into me, especially by my maternal grandmother. Anytime someone in the family used improper grammar, she would stop and correct us. It was never done in a...
The following is NSFW and probably not kid safe, it’s also damn true –
Like many people, I spend a lot of time wondering how some things in my life got the way they are. And introspection, when...
I wanted to let you know that last weekend I was honored to appear on the Pendragon Variety Podcast, which is hosted by a bunch of kickass women, and we talked about my new work in progress – A Minor...
This is my latest podcast short story, “Dark Running.” It is the story of Charlie, a soldier called to answer for his past by a person driven by a desperate need for vengence. To save not only his...

Hello, everyone, Justin here. I finally was able to finish the podcast version of my latest short story, “The Dame Wore White.” This story has yet to find a home in print, but I’m trying,...
I was born and raised an Army brat, spending many years living in different states, always on the move, always making new friends, always trying to fit in while finding my own path. I was raised on movies and video games across every imaginable genre and style, and the stories I write reflect that. I'm also a happily married fella and have been for over a decade. I and my wife Krista don't have any children, but the love we shower on our many dogs and cats fills our lives with joy. Along with writing, I'm also a podcaster. My show, the Dead Robots' Society, was created in 2007 to be a voice for aspiring writers trying to hone their craft and learn about publishing. It has twice been a finalist for a Parsec Award, and it's been host to many amazing conversations with people from all across the publishing industry. I'm also a co-host on The Hollywood Outsider, a weekly podcast about movies and television.
